Hamilton, Ascot, Clayfield and Hendra
Downriver from Newstead, Hamilton and Ascot are some of Brisbane's most prestigious suburbs. Grand Queenslander homes sit on the hills above the river, Racecourse Road is lined with restaurants and boutiques, and the two racecourses at Eagle Farm and Doomben draw crowds on race days. The riverside Portside precinct has restaurants and apartments, and Clayfield and Hendra are quieter streets of large homes further north.
