Newstead, Bowen Hills and Albion
Newstead has been rebuilt around the old gasworks, whose iron frame now stands over a precinct of apartments, restaurants and shops beside the river. Bowen Hills, to the west, is home to the showgrounds where the Ekka is held each August, along with new apartment towers and offices, and Albion sits around its station and the historic hotel at Breakfast Creek.
The newer apartment towers in Newstead and Bowen Hills are home to plenty of companions, and in-calls here are popular because they are so close to the Valley and the city. Brisbane escorts who live in the inner north also travel to the Hamilton and city hotels for out-calls.
Trains stop at Bowen Hills and Albion on the way north, buses run along Breakfast Creek Road, and the Inner City Bypass makes the drive from the airport quick. During the Ekka, traffic and parking around the showgrounds become difficult.
