Port Adelaide and Semaphore
Port Adelaide was the colony's working harbour, and its heritage streets of bond stores, hotels and wharf buildings still give it a character no other part of the city has. The maritime museum and the railway museum sit near the inner harbour, and the old pubs around Lipson and Commercial Road draw a crowd on weekends. Semaphore, on the beach a few minutes west, has a long main street running down to its jetty and a relaxed seaside feel.
This is a part of the city where companions are spread thinly, so it pays to look across both postcodes and the suburbs nearby. Several escorts in Adelaide's north-west mention that they travel to the city and to the western beaches, and some prefer daytime bookings when the port is quiet.
