On the hills north-west of Chermside, Everton Hills and McDowall are among the greener suburbs on this side of the river. Streets wind up and down ridges, many homes sit on generous blocks, and bushland reserves with walking tracks run between the estates. Everton Hills sits just over the boundary in the Moreton Bay region, next to Albany Creek, while McDowall belongs to Brisbane City.
It is a family area, quiet in the evening, so arrangements are usually made with care.
