Boondall and the Entertainment Centre
Boondall is best known for the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, the big indoor arena on the north side that hosts touring concerts and major shows. Around it the suburb is low-key and residential, and to the east the Boondall Wetlands spread towards the bay, with boardwalks and bike paths through mangroves and open grassland.
On concert nights the area fills quickly and then empties in a rush, and plenty of visitors from out of town like to round off a show with company. Boondall station on the Shorncliffe line is within walking distance of the arena, and the Gateway Motorway runs close by for drivers heading towards the airport or the city.
