Gungahlin and Mitchell
At the northern end of the light rail, Gungahlin is the youngest of Canberra's town centres, with apartments, a shopping precinct and restaurants surrounded by newer suburbs. Mitchell, on the way into the city, is a light-industry area of workshops and warehouses beside the Federal Highway and the exhibition grounds, and one of the two areas in the ACT where licensed premises can operate.
Gungahlin has a large and growing population, and many companions live in its apartments and townhouses. Canberra escorts based in the north usually host from homes with off-street parking, while the venues in Mitchell keep set hours for walk-in and booked visits.
The light rail runs from Gungahlin to Civic in about twenty-five minutes, and the Federal Highway and Gungahlin Drive carry the traffic by car. When the exhibition grounds host a big event, the roads around Mitchell are busy.
