Braddon and Turner
Immediately north of Civic, Braddon has turned from a strip of car yards into the city's liveliest neighbourhood. Lonsdale Street and the blocks around it are full of cafes, small bars, breweries and late restaurants, and new apartment buildings rise along Northbourne Avenue. Turner, across the avenue, is quieter, with older flats and leafy streets near the city.
Many Canberra escorts live in the Braddon apartments, and in-calls here are among the most convenient in the city, a short walk from the Civic hotels and close to plenty of places for a drink first. Out-calls to the hotels on Northbourne Avenue take only a few minutes.
The light rail runs along Northbourne Avenue with stops at Elouera Street and Macarthur Avenue, and the area is busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Street parking is limited, so walking or a taxi is easier.
