South Perth and Como
Directly across the water from the city, South Perth looks back at the skyline from a long foreshore of lawns and paths. Mends Street has the ferry jetty and a row of restaurants, the zoo sits a few blocks inland, and the apartment towers along the river have some of the best views in Perth. Como, further south, is a suburb of houses and smaller blocks around Canning Highway.
The ferry crosses to Elizabeth Quay in a few minutes, which makes South Perth a favourite for a booking combined with dinner on the water. Perth escorts who live on this side of the river often mention the views from their in-call, and many are happy to come to a city hotel by ferry or car.
The Kwinana Freeway runs along the western edge of the suburb and gets congested at peak hour, so the ferry is often the more relaxed way across in the early evening.
