Eaglemont, Ivanhoe East and Viewbank
Eaglemont is a hilltop suburb with a place in Australian art history: in the late nineteenth century a group of Impressionist painters camped on its slopes and painted the views across the Yarra valley. Part of the suburb, and of neighbouring Ivanhoe East, was later laid out by Walter Burley Griffin, the architect of Canberra, with curving streets that follow the hill. Viewbank, to the north, runs down to the wetlands and river flats at Banyule.
These are leafy, well-kept suburbs where people value quiet and privacy. Bookings are usually out-calls to homes, and Melbourne escorts who work the north-east often list Heidelberg, Ivanhoe and Rosanna together. In-calls close by tend to be in townhouses and smaller unit blocks around the stations.
Eaglemont station is on the Hurstbridge line, a stop past Ivanhoe, and the Yarra trails and Banyule Flats make for a lovely walk at dusk. By car, Lower Heidelberg Road and Rosanna Road are the main routes.
