Lilyfield and Haberfield
Lilyfield lies between Leichhardt and Rozelle, a residential suburb with its own stop on the inner west light rail and the City West Link carrying traffic along its northern edge towards Iron Cove. Haberfield, further west along the same road, is often called Sydney's first garden suburb: most of its houses are Federation-era originals on a planned street grid with gardens front and back, and Ramsay Street is lined with Italian delis, bakeries and pastry shops.
Neither suburb has a train station or a hotel, and both are mostly houses, so bookings run towards out-calls to private homes. The Bay Run passes the edge of both suburbs and is busy with walkers and runners from early morning.
