Burradoo and Mittagong
Just south of Bowral, Burradoo is a quiet area of large country estates, gardens and long driveways, popular with Sydney families for weekend houses. Mittagong, north of Bowral, is the gateway to the Highlands from the motorway, with a main street of cafes and antique shops, motels and the start of the road to the escarpment lookouts.
Discretion matters in Burradoo, where most bookings are out-calls to private homes, while Mittagong's motels are convenient for travellers on the way through. Bowral escorts who cover the Highlands usually include both, and most ask for notice if they are driving up from further afield.
Mittagong has a station on the line to Sydney and sits close to the Hume Motorway. Country roads are dark at night and kangaroos are common, so drive carefully.
Give the full address and any gate code when you book, since many estates are set well back from the road.
See Burradoo and Mittagong, each with its own list.
