Northcote, Thornbury, Preston, Coburg and Reservoir
High Street runs north through Northcote and Thornbury with wine bars, music venues and restaurants, and continues into Preston, home to one of the city's best-loved fresh food markets. Coburg, to the west, carries Sydney Road further north, and Reservoir is a large suburb of family homes stretching towards the outer north.
These suburbs have grown popular with people who want inner-city life without inner-city prices, and many companions live here. Melbourne escorts in the northern belt often host in houses and townhouses with easy parking, and travel into Fitzroy, Carlton and the city for out-calls.
The Mernda line runs through Northcote, Thornbury, Preston and Reservoir, and the Upfield line serves Coburg. Trams run up High Street and Sydney Road, and the trip to the city takes twenty to thirty minutes.
