Caloundra, Kings Beach and Golden Beach
At the southern end of the coast, Caloundra is a holiday town with a string of beaches around its headlands. Kings Beach has a saltwater pool and a busy foreshore of cafes, Bulcock Beach looks across the Pumicestone Passage to Bribie Island, and Golden Beach, further south, is a calm stretch of water popular with families and paddlers.
Caloundra is the closest part of the coast to Brisbane, and many visitors stay in its beachfront apartments. Sunshine Coast escorts at the southern end often host in-calls near the beach and visit holiday apartments for out-calls, and some travel north to Kawana and Mooloolaba as well.
The drive to Brisbane takes about an hour, and the Caloundra Road connects the town with the Bruce Highway. Summer weekends are busy along the foreshore.
An evening walk along the boardwalk between the beaches is one of the nicest ways to begin a date at the southern end of the coast.
